Spring Calendar
The Test is Monday, May 8th. In order to be fully prepared for this exam and be fluid and confindent as a comprehensive musician, weekly goals will be monitored. Each sixth week you will be given a complete AP theory exam.
The class will be broken up into learning groups each six weeks. You will be responsible for working with your group on daily exercises. Group grades will be taken weekly. See groups listed below.
Piano: It is important to understand the scales, arppeggios, and basic chord progressions. Therefore we will focus on certain keys weekly which will be outlined below. Every student will be graded for piano profeciencey. We will follow the circle of fifths beginning with flats. We will stop at enharmonic keys and move to sharps. Enharmonic equivalants will be worked on three weeks before the exam.
Sight Reading: We will be using Musicfirst.com to sing due Fridays
